There have been made changes over the past few weeks impacting our school, community, province, country and world. These changes are happening at an astonishing rate, sometimes by the hour. For the Warren Peers School community changes include the way our students are receiving and completing their school work (blended programing, online programs, paper programs), the way our teachers are delivering the school work (text, phone calls, online portals like Google classroom and Seesaw, email, and paper packages), the space in which students are completing their school work (from the brick and mortar at school to their own homes), the activities and the way we socialize with others (social distancing), and the perspective on certain priorities (the basic needs of life). What hasn’t changed is the need for children to learn and progress, the caring attitude and compassion of teachers toward educating students, the flexibility of teachers to accommodate their teaching style to meet the learning needs of each student, and the idea that we are all part of a child’s education. With the pandemic happening around us, change will be continuous. What worked last week may not work this week. I am very proud of my staff at Warren Peers School as we navigate this world of change. I am also thankful to our frontline workers, and to those who work behind the scenes helping us make it through this pandemic. We are all in this together, and we will all get through this together. I want to wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy spring. Mrs. Fletcher-Wilson Warren Peers School Principal
